Under the same management as the excellent Harriniva Holiday Centre the cosy Hotel Jeris offers 25 comfortable bedrooms, and 40 high-quality log cabins within its grounds. Situated beside Lake Jerisjarvi it is about an hour’s drive from Kittila Airport, and 20 minutes from Harriniva. Cabins come in two sizes – the Jerisranta cabins have one bedroom and are ideal for 2 persons, but with a sofa-bed in the lounge 3/4 persons can be accommodated.
The larger Jeriskyla cabins have one or two bedrooms plus loft, and can accommodate up to 7 persons. All cabins have a lounge with fireplace and TV, kitchenette, sauna, and shower/wc. Meals are taken in the hotel restaurant, while in the hotel’s wilderness spa guests can experience a traditional smoke sauna, or lie back in one of the heated pools and enjoy the stunning winter landscape through huge picture windows. Cross country skis, snowshoes and kick-sleds can be hired, and there are 10km of illuminated tracks around the hotel.
A night in an Igloo
An igloo is built in the hotel grounds, for those who would like to experience ‘sleeping on ice’. Your hotel room or cabin is retained, so you can return to your cosy bed if you do not wish the experience to last all night! Supplement £50 Adult/£25 Child.
